- I tried Cinema 4D demo on my machine. But it would crash and some of
- the requesters looked funny (text being longer than the requester
- box). I would like to know what the production copy is like...
-
- I use Imagine 3 it its very flexiable (used to use 2.0 until it came
- on Magazine coverdisk). I tried and binned Read 3D (personal
- preference).
-
- I am still using Light wave 2.0 (on Toaster 2000) Yipees... OLD. But
- it is very efficent and better than Imagine (and runs happily on a 8Mb
- 2000/30. I guess I'll get LW 4.0 when I can get hold of CyberStorm 60
- for my A4000 (around April I believe) and use it without the Toaster.
- I personally dont render as a Livimg just as a hobby. I have people
- who do that for me... ;-)
-
- The most efficent renderer I have used and seen on the AMiga is
- Calagari 24 (I have used and still do) on anything from
- A2000/3000/4000. This is no longer supported on the AMiga (Shame). And
- use (ie user interface) is much better. Calagari is very quick
- renderer and uses little memory (has proper surfaces unlike Imagine
- (so you dont have to build everything out of triangles).
-
- At the end of the day its personal choice for both the modler and
- Layout. My preference (ignoring machine restrictions):
-
- LightWave 4.0 (or 3.5)
- Calagari 24 (or Broadcast)
- Imagine 3.0 (they have 4.0 now)
